Vision & Mission

We are committed to promoting the equality, empowerment, and fostering of a safe workspace for all those who identify as women.

🌿

Wellness

Our work is centered on promoting women’s physical and mental wellbeing. Fighting sexual harassment, discrimination, and violence against women is at the forefront of this committee in order to create a safe space for all those who identify as women.

📚

Development

Opportunities for advancement and employment equity is important in fostering women at work, and we recognize that. We are dedicated to empowering women by making these goals easier to attain: through an education reimbursement fund and providing mentorship.

⚖️

Work-Life Balance

Connecting women at PDOC allows us to build support networks in the workplace and raise issues that make a work-life balance difficult. We will work together to address avenues for child care, benefits, and work-life balance support.

🎁

Fundraising

Connecting with women goes far beyond the workplace—our committee is dedicated to becoming active in our local communities, developing relationships with other women’s groups, and working with community groups to be part of making meaningful change.

Join the Women’s Committee

The Local 541 Women’s Committee welcomes all women and non-binary individuals of every race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, diverse gender expression, genetic characteristics, sex, marital status, family status, and ability (mental, physical and emotional).
