First ever hybrid AGM for Local 541. 2024 Financial Statement was approved, 2025 budget was passed, $80k to be put into a GIC, and investing into our women’s committee.
Our first-ever Food for Thought event was a feast for both the mind and the stomach, as members gathered to listen to Paul Giancarlo (SEDP Director) and Anna Shen (ICPD SPDO) — who took us on a journey through their careers in the public service.

June is Indigenous Month, a time to honor and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. We are thrilled to announce that CEIU Local 541 will subsidize tickets for the Indigenous Music Summit Gala event on June 10, 2024.
Local 541 kicked off the end of fiscal with a well awaited AGM hosted by MC Elisa P. at The Host, a South Asian restaurant in Richmond Hill, with special guests CEIU NVPs in attendance!
Local 541 and a few of its members attended a lecture on Black Reconstructions: Race, Educational History and the Problem of the Archive given by the Professor of Education and African and African American Studies at Harvard University.
