Local 541 By-laws Proposal
All attendees will have a linktr.ee provided that contains the full Local 541 By-laws. A change is required to Local 541 By-laws to be in compliance with CEIU regulations and policies. The changes are reflected in the Annex of the By-laws. The notable change will be that the Executive Structure will be as follows:
- 1 President
- 2 Vice Presidents
- Secretary
- Treasurer
This change will formalize the removal of all floor reps, equity rep, youth worker rep, and head steward as part of the Executive structure. However, with two Vice Presidents, it will allow clearer division of duty, attendance at Local Executive and Union-Management meetings, and allow for succession planning.
Election
Elections will be held for up to two Vice President positions.
Members interested in running for either role are encouraged to:

- Be nominated during the meeting.

Key Responsibilities
- Assume the responsibilities of the President in the event of his/her incapacity or temporary absence;
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Local President;
- Attend committee meetings of the Local Executive when appointed to do so;
- Report on his/her activities to all general meetings of the Local;
- In general, be responsible to the Local membership and perform such duties as may be required by the Local Executive.
