In conjunction with PDOC Building Social Committee’s Holiday event, Local 541 will have a Hot Chocolate bar full of hot chocolate from Tim Hortons along with assorted toppings.

Any and all members concerned about Workforce Adjustment (WFA) impacts on ESDC and PDOC should reach out to their direct supervisors (Team Leaders or Managers). To learn more about Workforce Adjustment (WFA), please see the relevant section in the Collective Agreement.

UPCOMING: Local Union Management Consultation Committee (LUMCC)
Local Executives and the Management team conduct a quarterly LUMCC to discuss issues that affect the entire membership. An upcoming LUMCC is scheduled for Monday, November 25. One of the topics being discussed will be Workforce Adjustment (WFA) as recently 600 term employees at CRA had their term end early, IRCC has put a stop-the-clock for term rollovers, and there are news articles about every department needing to reduce Employee count. If there is something else that you wish for the Local to talk to Management about, please let us know via email or fill out this anonymous form.

AGM Election Results
Held an AGM & Bowling Event at Splitsville Richmond Hill where Neruson Murugesamoorthy was elected President and Jo Marie Ortega was elected Secretary. Motion to no longer backfill and eventually remove the following Local executive positions passed: Communications Rep, Youth Workers Rep, 2nd Floor Rep, 3rd Floor Rep, and 4th Floor Rep. Should these positions become vacant, they will be formally removed from the Local executive structure.
